Patna, April 7, 2017: Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA) vice-chairman Vyas Ji on Friday advocated for integrated approach to reduce risk factors in fire incidents happening across the state in the summer season.
Speaking at a workshop on fire safety, he said the risk of fire could be reduced in rural Bihar if we include Panchayati Raj institutions in our scheme of things.

Patna, April 7, 2017: Tailik Sahu Sabha members staged a day-long dharna demanding withdrawal of suspension of Bihar Legislative Council member Lal Babu Prasad from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday.
BJP suspended Lal Babu Prasad from the party for misbehaving with woman legislator Nutan Singh of Lok Janashakti Party (LJP).
Tailik Sahu Sabha leader and former minister Sunil Kumar Pintoo said it was unfair to suspend Lal Babu without probing into the incident and seeking clarification from him.
He said:"We are with the Sahu Samaj first then the party".

Patna, April 7, 2017: A seminar on mental depression was organised at Government Ayurveda College and Hospital here on Friday to mark the World Health Day. Several speakers talked on the importance  and usefulness of Ayurvedic treatment to cure the patients from depression.

Patna, April 7, 2017: Anganwadi workers met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad on Friday and urged him to solve their grievances. For nearly one month, Anganwadi workers drawn from different parts of the state were staging demonstration in support of their demands including pay hike at Gardanibagh, the place earmarked for peaceful dharnas and demonstration by Patna district administration.
They also submitted a memorandum of demands to the RJD chief. RJD is the bigger partner of the Grand Alliance Government in Bihar led by Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar.
It's learnt that Lalu Prasad assured the delegation that he would put their demands before concerned department.
