Now you can apply for TET till April 30

Patna, April 16, 2017: Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the date for filing online application form and getting e-challan for Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to April 30.

Earlier, the last date for application was April 25.

Likewise,  fee submission date through e-challan at SBI branches has been extended to May 3 instead of April 27 as announced earlier.

Now, candidates can make correction in their online applications till May 4 instead of April 30 as fixed earlier.

Awareness programme on GST held

Abolition of caste system will be true tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, says Bihar CM Nitish Kumar

Patna, April 15, 2017: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said abolition of caste system from society would be the true tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.

Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Gandhi Museum and centenary year celebration of Champaran Satyagrah here, he said the people of Bihar have expressed their opinions on liquor ban and deaddiction by forming a recording breaking human chain and this clearly showed their willingness for social change.

He said if 10 to 20 per cent of new generation youths started following Gandhian thoughts and ideology then the society would automatically change in next 10 to 15 years.

He said the government would launch a campaign "Bapu Tere Dwar" (Bapu at your door) to spread the ideology and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi across the state. "The government will make arrangements for announcing system to tell Gandhiji stories in every school after prayers throughout this centenary year", he said.

He said the selection of 50 stories from Gandhiji's life was being made in this regard.

The Chief Minister announced the construction of a new meeting hall in the back side of the Gandhi Museum. "The library will also be connected to this hall", he said.


He said the State Government would honour more than 800 freedom fighters here on April 17. "President Pranab Mukherjee, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Congress Party's vice president Rahul Gandhi will attend the function", he said.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav was present in the function.

Lawyers protest amendments in Advocates Act

Patna, April 15, 2017: Lawyers took out a rally and staged dharna at Civil Court here on Saturday under the banner of Adhivakta Sangathan Sangharsh Morcha (Patna) demanding scrapping of Advocates Act (2017)  Amendment Bill and creation of autonomous All India Judicial Services Commission.

Para medical employees on war path

Patna, April 15, 2017: Bihar Chikitsya Evam Jan Swasthya Karmachari Sangh members took out a rally and staged demonstration before Nalanda Medical College and Hosiptal (NMCH) superintendent office on Saturday demanding regularisation of services of contractual employees.

They submitted a memorandum of demands addressed to principal secretary, health department, to NMCH superintendent.

The agitating para medical employees said that they would go on indefinite strike from April 19, if their demands were not met.

They said they had been working in contract for the last 10 years and government had not taken any initiative to regularise their services as per norms.
