Bapu's story will be narrated in every school after morning assembly, says Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Posted: 28 Apr 2017 08:51 AM PDT Bharhawa: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said Bapu's story would be narrated in every school after the prayers meet throughout the year to celebrate the centenary celebrations of Champaran Satyagrah. Addressing a meeting after paying tributes to Pandit Raj Kumar Shukla on whose request Mahatma Gandhi visited Champaran to fight for the cause of indigo farmers against British rule. "I'm am glad and feeling fortunate to be here on the day Pandit Raj Kumar Shukla brought Mahatma Gandhi here 100 years ago. This is my wish a statue of Pandit Raj Kumar Shulka should be constructed here and by the side this statue one statue of Sant Rout should also be installed here", he said. He said Mahatma Gandhi had spent night at Sant Rout's residence. He said one memorial and a road connecting Amolava to Bharhawa would also be constructed. Bihar Vidyapith Entrepreneurship Centre wants to make Bihar self sufficient in egg production Posted: 28 Apr 2017 12:14 AM PDT Patna: Bihar Vidyapith Entrepreneurship Centre has taken up a mission to make Bihar self sufficient in egg production. The centre has organised a workshop under the aegis of Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to guide possible entrepreneurs about the egg production techniques and marketing here on Thursday. The entrepreneurs have been told that they could apply for the unit if they were interested to open it. Participating in the discussions, Madhya Bihar Gramib Bank general manager Harsh Chopra said the workshops would be held district-wise as in Biharsharif (April 28), Nawada (May 2), Gaya (May 3), Aurangabad (May 4), Rohtas (May 5), Kaimur (May 8), Buxar (May 9), Ara (May 10), Jehanabad (May 11) and Arwal (May 12). Gandhi Panorama Film Festival ends Posted: 27 Apr 2017 11:44 PM PDT Patna: Three-day Gandhi Panorama Film Festival ended at Adhiveshan Bhawan auditorium here on Thursday. Organised by Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Department, the festival saw about a dozen of film based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi exhibiting in the last three days.
