Patna, April 6, 2017: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday started door to door garbage collection system and also launched toll free number 1800-345-6253 for lodging complaints and sending suggestions on waste management.
The PMC handed over the waste collection system in its 55 wards to different  private agencies, who will charge  monthly rental from the residents as per the classification. The rates have been fixed from Rs 60 to Rs 10000 per month.

Patna, April 6, 2017: Mahila Brigade members organised "Jashn-e-Chaita" to celebrate one year of complete liquor ban in Bihar on Thursday. Praising the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his decision to implement total ban on the sale and purchase of liquor in state from April 5 last, they hoped that Bihar Government would make the state addiction free soon.

Patna, April 7, 2017: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar says usefulness of development comes to the fore when it reaches to the last person standing on the ladder. The Chief minister was addressing a function after unveiling the statue of Jehanabad based BBM College founder Mulukrani Devi on Thursday.
He says the state government is going to celebrate the 100 years Champaran Satyagrah launched by Mahatma Gandhi to fight for the cause of weaker section of the society. "We are also working on the same path", he says.
