Established under the Societies Act 21, 1860, Udyog Mitra was formed in 2004 by dissolving and merging two societies – Industrial Data Bank & Single Window System. Initially, Industrial Data Bank was functioning since 1986 for proving industrial data/information. Single window too was functioning as a Cell of Department of Industries since 1986 for solving the problems of the investor. Since 2004,
Udyog Mitra has become the Centre for Industrial Documentation and Information for Industrial Development and Promotional activities. It now provides secretarial support to Industries department with respect to the single window system.
Being a promotional agency of the state Udyog Mitra regularly conducts investor presentations, seminars, meets, conferences etc. for showcasing Bihar as a potential investment location. We provide technical guidance in the form of relevant project profiles and policy information to entrepreneurs setting up all kinds of industries.
