CHILDREN REIMAGINE PEACE AT MUSO & TEACH FOR INDIA’S FIRST EVER PEACE CARNIVAL
Mumbai, India – March 6, 2024 – In a world facing growing conflict, Teach For India, a non-profit championing educational equity, is partnering with the Museum of Solutions to host the inaugural Peace Carnival. This unique event, taking place on March 9th, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, aims to empower children to learn, create, and advocate for a more peaceful world.
A World in Need of Peacebuilders: Inspired by the millions of children impacted by global conflict, the Peace Carnival offers a safe space for young minds to engage with the concept of peace through interactive workshops, open dialogues, and artistic expression.
A Day of Exploration and Creation: Students and educators will collaborate with artists, musicians, storytellers, and filmmakers in captivating workshops encompassing peace-themed filmmaking, songwriting, storytelling, and even live conversations with children in conflict zones hosted by sculptor Arzan Khambatta, Harish Subramanian - CEO & Creative Head - Studio Subu, artist Ruchi Bakshi, musician Nimo Patel, Filmmaker Safdar Rahman and Katy Noble.
A Spark for Change: Through thought-provoking activities and an exclusive screening of the film "Conference of the Birds," the Peace Carnival hopes to ignite curiosity, spark vital conversations, and inspire a generation of changemakers dedicated to building a more peaceful future.
Amidst the turmoil gripping children in Gaza, Armenia, Ukraine, and beyond, the Peace Carnival attempts to answer, “How would a world with leaders who choose peace look?”
